01 Selected projects
A handful of projects I've worked on: A photography portfolio site built with Angular and a headless CMS, IoT devices spanning various applications, and a cottage getaway wordpress site designed for SEO & enquiries.
Brand & platform — design + full-stack build
A custom, image-led site for a UK automotive & JDM photographer. Headless CMS, CDN delivery and optimisation for all the heavy imagery. Designed to showcase the work and make it easy for the client to manage their own content, with a custom-built gallery and image management system.
Embedded systems — firmware, integration & telemetry
Connected devices built end to end: automotive gauges with remote telemetry, property alarms and door access with VoIP/IVR, and medication dispensers over MQTT, all tied together with Node-RED. Built on Raspberry Pi, Arduino and ESP32 / ESP8266 with off-the-shelf modules like GPS and GSM, in enclosures I design in Fusion 360.
Web — CMS, SEO & conversion
A self-catering holiday-let site in Northumberland. Content-managed, built with SEO in mind and set up to turn visits into enquiries, with a gallery and 40+ guest reviews.

04 About
I'm a full-stack developer with a background in telecommunications, based in Newcastle. When i'm not coding, I'm usually tinkering with cars or electronics. Both my profesional work and personal hobbies usually share a common theme: Finding out how things work, and how to make them work better.
It's not an uncommon sight to see me with a soldering iron in one hand and a keyboard in the other. The same curiosity and problem-solving skills that I apply to my personal projects are also applied to my work in software development, telecoms and networking.
My approach to problem-solving is methodical and analytical, and I enjoy the challenge of finding creative solutions to complex problems.
